i think it all depends on the girls beauty....
i hate when people but like a ton of eye liner on. it loooks to fake. but a thin line of brown or smokey never hurts :)
as for mascara... i rarely use it. it always makes my lashes feel weird after wards. and it flakes into my contacts and burns :(

I think it doesn't matter how much you wear, just how it looks. Makeup should enhance, not make a statement of its own. Foundation, a little blush, a bit of mascara, and lip gloss close to real color. Don't, for example, wear bright red lipstick, purple blush, colored mascara, and so on. Mascara: okay Eyeliner: Only in super-light shades
The less make up the better imo. But if you do little things here and there to enhance your look its not a big deal.
