How do you 'cure' EXTEREMLY oily eyelids that NO makeup will stay on?

I can't wear top liner or eyeshadow because after an hour or so the oils in my eyelids make it all, for a lack of a better word, nasty. I end up with color in the crease of my eyelid. It's very unbecoming and makes it very hard for me to wear stage makeup when I want/need to act. So if any one has any suggestions I'll give them a try! I don't mind if I sounds bizarre, as long as it's very cheap and works! How do you 'cure' EXTEREMLY oily eyelids that NO makeup will stay on?
use baby power with cornstarch before you put on eye makeup. How do you 'cure' EXTEREMLY oily eyelids that NO makeup will stay on?
use the Mary Kay oil mattifiers. then use coverstick and powder and then use eyeshadow and liner. the oil blotter things aren't too expensive and they work really well.
I'd first make sure you wash your eyelids throughly when you wash your face. Don't apply a moisturiser to them, rather use a mattifing gel. I find the best one is the Tea Tree Oil variety from the Body Shop.

Use powder eyeshadow as cream will just slide right off.
You could try using a light powder to soak up the oil before you use the makeup or maybe some tissue paper. I have kinda oily skin so i use the powder on my face it soaks up the oil during the day so i dont have to worry. :)
blot your eyelids with rice paper (really cheap at drugstores) before you put on your eye makeup and then apply a thin layer of translucent makeup on your eye lid before you put on your actual make up.
I'm trying to find out the same thing. Maybe someone will have some tips.
it might sound crazy but- foundation. my mom taught me this trick when i was little that if you put a little powder foundation on your eyelids before makeup, it will make them less oily and make a good base for eyeshadows. :]
Something that worked for me was that i apply my foundation, a powder one, even over my eyelids. That will soak up the oil. Then i apply my eye shadow. One brand of makeup that doesnt crease and get oily i found works good is Physicians Formula. You can find this at Wal Mart.

Pretty good makeup at a fair price!
